I'm a multimedia journalist based in NYC where I've covered a variety of stories that include labor, immigration, community activism, social injustices, arts and culture for NBC New York, Telemundo 47, the NYCity News Service, the Mott Haven Herald, El Deadline and CNY Latino. Currently, I'm pursuing my master's degree in bilingual journalism at the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism.
I have experience covering local news in Kansas where I created the first newscast in Spanish for KVOE radio, I also did investigative journalism for Report for America on how students at universities in the Midwest were facing food insecurity a year after COVID-19 and I've collaborated with international organizations such as World Pulse, where I interview women who created technology spaces for women in their communities in India, Kenya, Zimbabwe, and Cameroon.
I received an award for online publication at the Ñ Awards from the National Association of Hispanic Journalists (NAHJ) 2024 and I'm also the recipient of the Investigative News Award from the Kansas Collegiate Media Awards 2022.
